Hello,

I see the datasheet of AWR2243 in page 20,the ADC resolution is 12bit,

but I see in the "mmWave Radar Interface Control Document" ,as follows, the ADC output can set 16bit , and it also mentioned that “If the user desires 12 bit ADC output, then the
digital front end (DFE) chain drops 4 LSBs before placingthe data in ADC buffer(DFE output is 16 bits wide)” it means the ADC is 16bit resolution， How is the conversion from 12bit to 16bit? Is there any specific conversion formula，thanks.

Hello user,

For the ADC data in 12/14 bit mode, internally we shift the 16 bit data to get only 12/14 valid bits. Its like LSBs are truncated. So as mentioned in the document you pointed, just the LSBs are dropped. There is no formula as such.
