PGA305EVM-034: PGA305EVM

Part Number: PGA305EVM-034

Dear, support team.

I asked the customer to refer to the links below for the PGA305 software development kit and API documentation.

software development kit.zip

api_reference_for_usb2any_sdk_2.7.0.pdf

https://e2e.ti.com/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/14/software-development-kit.zip

After that, I wrote in the attached file what I wanted to do for the product that implemented PGA305 using ,
but the operations performed on the PGA305EVM software described in this document are among the functions of Visual Basic 6.0.
Is it possible to ask Texas Instruments to confirm which function it corresponds to?

I will attach any questions from customers.

  • Hi Yuyama-san,

The USB2ANY firmware installed on the PGA305EVM is a custom version of the standard USB2ANY firmware that is included with the USB2ANY SDK, and it has special functions specific to the PGA305EVM. These are mainly related to the USB2ANY's GPIOs which are used to control some switches and the activation pulses for the OWI circuitry.

As a note, the USB2ANY was developed for evaluation use only and is not recommended for use in a production environment.

Does your customer intend to use OWI or I2C for their production environment?

    Regards,

  • Hi Scott-san,
    Thank you for your reply.

We have heard from customers that the evaluation module of PGA305 will be used for reading and writing parameters of IC (PGA305).
    Customers only in internal evaluation.
I heard that it is used for reading and writing parameters of IC (PGA305).

After that, using USB2ANY, I wrote in the Word file whether it can be done using PGA305EVM.
Please tell me which of the Visual Basic 6.0 functions the operations performed on the PGA305EVM software described in this document correspond to.

    Best Regards,
    Hiroaki Yuyama
