PGA411-Q1: Need few details regarding PGA411-Q1

We are glad that you are able to test up to 35 RPM. 

We have not tested at the 0.1 rpm based on the specs this can present challenges in regards to accuracy that is dependent in the system noise. Some of the factors maybe outside of the PGA411 that will limit you from testing at 0.1 rpm.

Hello Arjun,

For my application, it is required to measure the velocity with a resolution of 1 RPM. The datasheet of PGA411-Q1 says that the minimum change in velocity that it could be read is 36 RPM in 12-bit mode (as seen in the image below).

I need help to figure out how to measure 1 RPM with the PGA411-Q1 IC since someone from TI already mentioned that it could be configured to measure 2 RPM.

Hi Abhinav,

As the datasheet has pointed out that the minimum speed supported is 36 RPM in 12 bit mode. The PGA411 device implementation was meant to be for high speed rotational applications like the HEV/EV traction inverter.  At lower speeds it can be impacted and limited by the noise. To drive the 1 RPM you will have to test this setup and configure it. We have not performed any tests at lower speeds.
