AWR1843: The setting value for ”No of Frames”

Part Number: AWR1843

Hi

Customer are currently running mmWave Studio 2.1 in the AWR1843 + DCA1000 hardware environment.

Is there a way to set ”No of Frames” in the Frame setting part of mmWave Stduio's Sensor Config to a setting larger than 65535?

Thanks and Best regards,

HaTa.

  • Hello Hata-San,

As mentioned in the ICD, the allowed value for No of frames (legacy) is limited to 65535. If your purpose is to increase the number of chirps transmitted in a frame, you can configure "No of Chirp Loops" Accordingly.

Also, just an added information to the legacy frame configurations, we do have a concept of Advance Frame config. There you can configure upto 4 subframes in a frame, but to provide maximum flexibility, each of the sub frames consists of multiple bursts of chirps (up to 512 bursts) and Each burst can consist of 512 unique chirps which are associated to one of the 4 profiles.

Please refer to the mmWave_dfp_user_guide.pdf present in the DFP package at location "<download directory>\mmwave_dfp_<ver>\docs".

This document explains about advance frames in detail.

    Regards,
