My device is awr1243boost rev. A. It's connected to dca1000evm. When running mmwavelink_example.exe, I got "mmWave Device Power On failed with error -8".

Mannually pushing RESET button wouldn't help. But using mmWaveStudio is Okay.

I guess the reason is that the provided mmwlstudio.lib in DFP isn't correct. I hope you can verify that.

Besides, in the documents of DFP, awr1243boost is connected to DevPack rather than DCA1000EVM. Could that be the reason why mmwavelink_example.exe didn't work?

What is the DFP version you're using here? The latest for AWR1243 is mmWave DFP 01_02_06_03

I've tried 01_02_06_03, 01_02_05_01, 01_02_00_01, 01_00_00_01 and earlier versions. The error was the same.

Hello,

Are you sure you're using the correct SOP mode when executing the DFP example i.e SOP 4 mode? The application running resets the mmwave sensor and waits for Power On async-event message over SPI (This SPI connection is provided either by DCA1000 or mmWave DevPack). As per the error code, looks like its not getting this async-event message within timeout.

As suggested by our expert in the previous thread, do you see Red LED (NRST_OUT) on AWR1243BOOST toggle when you execute the application?

I used SOP 2 mode. When I changed to SOP 4 mode, the problem was solved. Thank you very much.
