Hello Maynard,
What do they mean by "not working"?
Is it not powering on? What is the Power supply rating they used?
or is it not able to capture data? If this is the case, can they send a screenshot of the error they're getting?
Regards,
Ishita
HI, Maynard:
Can you confirm
1) xwr6843ISK EVM works by itself with SDK out-of-box demo
2) xwr6843ISK EVM does not work with DCA1000 for raw data capture
In that case, I would suggest you to follow the step-by-step instruction for raw data capture listed here. 0572.mmWave_sensor_raw_data_capture_using_DCA1000_xwr6843.pdf
And update us which step you see the problem.
Best,
Zigang
Hi Ishita,
I just received response from the customer that when DCA1000 EVM was Power On, main chip became too hot, and it did not work.
Hi Zigang,
Good day, below are the response of the customer.

Maynard
Let me consult with the related team and get back to you soon.

HI Zigang,
Thank you for your support, we will wait for your update on this.

Maynard:
Do you just need me to confirm the hardware is broken, so you can go ahead with the refund/replacement process?
Best,
Zigang.
Hi Zigang,
We will need the confirmation from the team to proceed refund/replacement process.
Regards,
Maynard
Hi, Maynard:
Please ask the customer to post their hardware picture and radar studio GUI pictures and output when the failure happens.
Best,
Zigang
I am so disappointed with TI.
As you know, I have answered to your questions several times and informed that it did not work after heated.
Time over one month has elapsed, but TI still ask what happen in my board.
If you can see the board, you can know its status right away. And then you can know the next step.
However, the board is just in my hand without knowing its destination.
As I mentioned so may time, I have to measure some signal with its board. But no way.
Strongly speaking, I will send the board and I ask you to check it with stopping communication.
Please let me know the address which I send it to.
I am a TI customer, and purchased so many components and boards.
Hope to receive the address.

Hi Kim,
Sorry about the numerous questions but we need to understand how the board got damage and what the issue is that you are currently experiencing before making any suggestions on next steps. It is possible that we can resolve the problem without having to ship the board back and forth.
As previously requested, can you share a picture of the hardware setup and radar studio GUI pictures and output when the failure happens.
Thanks for you patience.

Hi Kim,
Thanks for sending the setup image and additional information. The E2E posts linked below shows other customers with similar issues that were able to resolve it by re-flashing the FPGA. Can you try this?
see section 9 of linked appnote for steps on flashing
