IWR1642BOOST: How to connect JTAG

hi,

I'm using IWR1642 Boost device. But now I can't see COM ports in device manager.

I think its boot loader has been corrupted. So I need to load new boot loader to the device through J-tag.

I didn't found any JTAG pins (TD0) in my device. So how can I connect J-tag.

Pranav Venu,

All the IWR1642boost comes with the pre-installed emulation pack drivers, which are tested before it sent out from factory.

It appears from the above message either XDS emulation drivers are corrupted or XDS110 drivers are missing in your PC.

For installing XDS110 emulation pack on the board you could follow below instructions:

You can download the "XDS Emulation Software (EMUPack) Download", then you can run the below commands to download the bootloader and the firmware to the XDS interface. After installation you will find the XDS firmware update utility in "$CCS_INSTALL\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110".

In this directory, run the following commands:

Xdsdfu.exe -b boot_loader.bin –r

Xdsdfu.exe -f firmware.bin –r

For reinstall the Windows device drivers review the section in the below link and review the "To reinstall the Windows device drivers" section.

hi Chethan,

Initially, I found 2 com ports in device manager, I tried to flash the code using code composer studio and uniflash and I failed.

Now I found that the COM ports are missed from the device manager.

Hello Pranav Venu,

To get COM port on PC its' important TM4C1294NCPDTT3 device is flashed as XDS110 with the above mentioned firmware.

Could you please confirm have you followed above procedure?

What response did you get when you perform below steps?

Xdsdfu.exe -b boot_loader.bin –r

Xdsdfu.exe -f firmware.bin –r

Also, Could you please elaborate what procedure did you follow to "flash the code using code composer studio"?
