Note this is nothing to do with Code Composer Studio it's just that the webform pointlessly forces me to choose a part number for the Site Support Forum.

Regarding the related question, there was never any closure. It just got locked without a conclusion.

Today sometimes Quote works, sometimes it doesn't. It seems to depend on the thread.

'Quote' does not work anywhere there when using Edge.

Furthermore, even if I use Chrome, Reply also does not work on this particular comment:

I have tried clearing cache but makes no difference.

Kier, I apologize for inconvinience - Edge doesn't support quote capability.

Can you please check the "reply" button again? I believe it was a formatting issue due unusual spacing inserted after the last sentence.

Hello Tatiana,

Sorry the title is too general. Quote does work (must be supported) in MS Edge, it's just that often it does not work.

Take for example, the thread you fixed (thank you) I can now Quote:

So I think the webmaster needs to investigate why Quote doesn't always work in MS Edge.

Kier, we do not have a solution for quotes in Edge - I'm sorry, this is not the answer I want to give. I'm surprised that they work for you at all even though it's inconsistent.

Not sure how you can make that statement. It demonstrably works in MS Edge albeit not always.

Let me clarify: we do not have a solution on how to fix the intermittent issue with quotes in Edge. I understand that it does work for you just not all the time.

I have found the cause and fix.

The problem is the Egde "mini menu". If one selects text the mini menu pops up offering actions for the selected text. This seems to block the 'Quote' button. This is indicated by the arrow mouse pointer icon:

The answer is simply to move the mouse pointer away from the selected text very briefly, about a second, the mini-menu will disappear and the Quote button becomes unblocked.
