For the most part this should work. The only specs I would double check here are the VIH/VIL compatibility and the bandwidth. VIH shouldn't be an issue since the 3157 device required a VIH that is higher than the VIH min of the 3160. VIL however can technically be a little higher on the 3157 device, so if you're running you control pin low logic a little high, you may run into an issue. But I suspect that you are running it closer to 0V so it shouldn't be an issue.
The Bandwidth would be reduce from ~325MHz to 100MHz if you move to the 3160, so as long as your application isn't above this, it should be fine.
