TS5A23157: audio headphone application

Hi  team,

they use this analog mux in the NB headphone jack input,

since as you know the headphone in the market has lowest impedance 16ohm (worst case)

is this a concern since our Ron is only 10ohm? there might be a series attenuation of signal .

does any other customer use this part in similar way?

    Hi Fred, 

    Just want to ask some clarifying questions here - what is meant by NB? What is the current flowing through the switch? Which package type are you using?

    If your priority is to reduce your Ron here to minimize signal attenuation, then we definitely offer lower Ron parts that fit here! The TS3A24159 offers the lowest Ron for this configuration (0.26Ohms) while sacrificing a higher Con at 250pF. The TS3A5223 has a Ron of 0.45 Ohms with a Con at 115pF. If these doesn't fit here and you can clarify those questions, then I can recommend something else here.

    NB means notebook,

    I want to know if there's other customer use  TS5A23157 on headphone application ,

    since I like say maybe it's not a big deal , I need experience feedback

    Hi Fred,

    I was able to find an older E2E about an engineer from Teksun Microsys Pvt Ltd looking to use this device for a headphone application, but other than that I do not know of any current customers using this device in such a way.
