TS3A27518E: about 240MHz bandwidth

Part Number: TS3A27518E

Hi expert,

Is the 240M bandwidth the -3dB bandwidth? If increasing the supply from 3.3V to 3.6V, would the bandwidth increase or decrease?

Thanks.

  • Yes; this is an analog switch, and the specified bandwidth is for the −3 dB attenuation of a sine wave. See figure 6-11 of the datasheet:

Increasing the supply voltage will increase the bandwidth by a very small amount.

  • Hi Di,

Clemens is correct here. 240 MHz is the -3dB bandwidth of the device. Increasing the supply would slightly decrease the bandwidth, but I recommend running the device through simulations to get a precise number if that is a key parameter.

    Thanks!
