TS3A27518E: Request the TS3A27518 TSSOP-24 package IBIS model!

Part Number: TS3A27518E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3A27518,

Hi Sir,

I am using the TS3A27518EIPWRQ1 with package TSSOP-24 in the design. I'd like to have the IBIS model for signal simulation. However, when I download the ts3a27518.ibis model from website and open it by textpad, I see this IBIS is for the QFN 24-pin (RTW) &  BGA 24-pin (ZQS). Would you please help how I can get the TSSOP-24 package IBIS model?

Regards,

Huy

  • Hi Huy,

Thank you for using e2e - Let me check if we have the TSSOP-24 IBIS model available and get back to you.

    Thanks

    Saminah

  • Thank you Samiah,

BTW, I would ask you one more question. In my design, I connect the SPI_CLK to the NO pin and expect the output at the COM pin. When I use Hyperlynx to assign the model TS3A27518 IBIS to my circuit, I see both NO & COM are input, so it might make Hyperlynx don't understand the output clock at the COM pin. Can you help?

    Regards,

    Huy

  • Hi Huy,

Can you clarify what are you trying to accomplish with the Input/output Buffer Information Specification (IBIS) model? ? This device is only a pass FET and therefore an IBIS model may not provide you with much useful information.

IBIS models are typically used for devices with buffered inputs and outputs. The only buffered inputs we have are our select and enable pins. The actual signal path is not buffered so they typically do not make IBIS models for these switches.

Please see attached E2E post on why this may not be suitable for your simulation needs.

    Thanks

    Saminah

  • Hi Saminah,

I agree. This MUX is the passive component, so should have the S-parameter with it, not the IBIS model. The IBIS model usually with the Active component only. However, I don't see the S-parameter of TS3A27518E on the TI website, just the IBIS model. Do you have the S-parameter model of this MUX?

    Regards,

    Huy

  • Hi Huy,

We do not have the s-parameter mode for this part.

You can use the HSPICE Model for TS3A27518 on the product folder.

I have sent you details offline how to extract the files.

    Thanks

    Saminah

  • Thanks Samiah,

can you help close the bug?
