Hi team,

Whether we can leave the OE pin open(float) on the board? Currently my customer float it and test the voltage is about 200mv. We want to check whether it has risks. in my opinion, we need to pull down the pin in stead of float, float may have risks, also want to double check with you. Thanks.

As shown in footnote (1) of section 6.3 of the datasheet, the OE pin must not be left floating. See [FAQ] How does a slow or floating input affect a CMOS device?

Hi Frank,

As Clemens mentioned, Control logic inputs should always have a defined state. If a control pin is left at an undefined state, this may cause unexpected function of the device or excess current consumption.
