There is always a diode from GND. The I/Os have a diode to VCC, the control inputs do not have one.
This can be derived from the absolute maximum ratings; see [FAQ] Can the input voltage (Vi) to my logic device be higher than the supply voltage (Vcc)?
Hey Tom,
The I/O pins are internally ESD protected with a diode to GND and a diode to VCC. This has failsafe logic, so there isn't a diode to Vcc on the logic path.
The TINA-Sim from the post you linked is actually for the TMUX1134, set up with dual supply if you want to take a look at that too.
