CCS/CCSTUDIO: CCS Ver8 - 'Hover' Issue

Are you using CCS v8? Looks like a known issue with the CDT version that comes with v8:

Since I've read your replies - I've tried to catch this again; but it seems to be intermittent.

I believe it said something was NULL when I clicked Details - but I haven't been able to catch this again; when I do; I will post.

ah, the vague (and rarely helpful) "java.lang.NullPointerException" message.

When investigating this error, some people mentioned that raising the max heap size helped to alleviate this issue. Can you open the ccstudio.ini file in <CCS8 INSTALL DIR>\ccsv8\eclipse and increase the max heap size to 1024m on line 22? Let me know if this helps

In my last post with a pic - the xMessage that is highlighted is a pointer to a structure that looks like:

So, I can't really say it occurs more often when hovering over a macro expression.
