TMDSEVM6657: No examples found/CCS project creation

Hi Experts,

Good day.

Customer is using the TMDSEVM6657 board and installed the ff:

CCS11
SDK plug-in
Install the package of the C6000 & C66

However as per them, there is no examples found.

From this LINK in section 9.1 previous CCS version, it has the example of C6657 DSP processor. They found example in CCS11 for C2000 DSP (tms320f28388D example).

Now they are working with TMS320C6657 / TMS320C6748 for testing the FFT functions.

Questions:
It is possible to create project with one of this DSP processor in CCS11 with specific library? Or they need to install previous version? 9? or 10?

1. For C6657, there are 48 examples available in "processor_sdk_rtos_c665x_6_03_00_106" from http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/C665x/latest/index_FDS.html

2. Those CCS-PDK examples are need to be auto-generated using a script. I have created a guide(FAQ) to create those 48 examples. Please visit here and follow the steps provided in the link:

3. Created another Master FAQs on how to use the examples of SDK and run them on the C6657 EVM board.

This SDK, with 48 examples, "processor_sdk_rtos_c665x_6_03_00_106" is tested on CCS version 9.3. As well, DSPlib containing FFT functions are also available for C6657 directly here : https://www.ti.com/tool/SPRC265 . They need not go for CCS11/C2000 DSP.

Hi Shankari,

Thanks for your detailed guidance.

Currently as per customer, there is still a compilation problem and the support on the forum could not solve it.

They continue to look for the problem.

On their side, the project to evolve and will not use DSP but an FPGA instead. So they won't continue on this IDE anymore.

it is me, who is supporting their compilation issue on the forum.

I am sure, they could pass through those errors.

The compilation errors are very simple to solve. ( I am damn sure! )

They have to just use the CSL path in the project properties of CCS.
