I used a template to do a sysbios task. It builds and runs fine. Now I just installed xdctools 3.22.00.09. Here's what I did specifically:
Could not open the editor: The editor class could not be instantiated. This usually indicates a missing no-arg constructor or that the editor's class name was mistyped in plugin.xml.
I also noticed an oddity in the project explorer. Here's a screenshot:
I can no longer get the mutex.cfg file to open in the XGCONF viewer! Any ideas what's wrong?
Thanks,
Brad
Hi Brad,
Can you please add the CCS workspace error log as an attachment? It's located in <my workspace dir>\.metadata\.log .
thanks,
Jon
Thanks Brad. The screenshot and the log file both indicate that CCS 5.1 is trying to pick up GUI plugins from a pretty old XDCtools in addition to 3.22.09. Can you figure out which this is and uninstall (or at least temporarily move) it?
The duplicate "XGCONF" menu is because the old version is declaring XGCONF by a different name, so the old and new versions both show up. The exception is happening because some internal Java classes changed, and CCS is picking up a mix of old and new versions.
Jon
For the records, Jon and I went back and forth off line a few times and he identified some bugs in xdctools which should be fixed for 3.22.01.
