Hello,
I am working with the TMSIDK572x board (AM5729 SOC). I am using CCS 11.2 to debug my application. I want to run the Load Analysis tool (CPU and Task load) of the RTOS Analyzer. But it doesn't show anything.
I load the program on the C66x core, start the Load Analysis tool, then run the program and pause it after sometime. The Load Analysis tool shows 0 records.
Even if I start the Load Analysis tool after running the program for sometime and then pausing it, the tool still shows 0 records.
The Live Session does run and I can run the Execution Analysis tool too. The Load Analysis tool, however, doesn't work.
How can I get the Load Analysis tool to work?
Thanks,
Dimple
Hi Dimple,
Can you please refer to section 3.2 of the document https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruh43f/spruh43f.pdf and see if you are following all the steps to check the system load?
Regards,
Parth
Hi Parth,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am following the steps outlined in section 3.2 of the user guide link you provided. The Load Analysis still shows 0 records.
CCS also hangs and crashes if I try to update load analysis after I try to run it once.
Thanks,
Dimple
Hi Dimple,
Can you please share the SDK version you are using and the steps you are following to get the load analysis. I'll try to reproduce the issue on my end.
Regards,
Parth
Hi Parth,
I am using CCS 11.2 and processor SDK 08_01_00_09.
These are the steps I follow to run the Load Analysis
1. Delete the dvt folder from the workspace (created during previous attempt of Load Analysis)
2. Launch the debug session
3. Connect the core A150 to the debug probe
4. Connect C66x_DSP1 to the debug probe
5. Load the application on the DSP1 core
6. Run the application for a few seconds and pause it.
7. Run Tools -> RTOS Analyzer -> Load Analysis
8. CPU Load and Task Load are pre selected with Instrumentation Status Good -> Click Start
9. The CPU and Task Load graphs open up but show 0 records
Please let me know if you need any more info from my end.
Thank you,
Dimple
Hi Dimple,
Is this issue still open?
If yes, can you please mention the current state of the issue?
