Dear sir,
I did extract the downloaded CCS files from the ZIP Folder (including the "artifacts" and "components" ZIP files). I also tried removing WinRAR, but it was still giving the same message. I have uploaded a screenshot of the CCS 12.0 folder again to show that I extracted the ZIP folder before installing.
Regards,
Abdul Rahman
Perhaps the downloaded image got corrupted. Please try downloading it again.
What zip utility are you using? Can you try the default windows zip utility if you are not using it?
Thanks for trying. There was another user that ran into the exact issue as yours and he resolved it by using a different zip utility:
I assumed it was the windows zip utility but maybe it was winzip.com.
Is using the on-demand installer an option for you?
Ok, there is clearly some false positive detection by the installer.
Can you provide any CCS installer logs in:
C:\Users\<user folder>\AppData\Local\Temp
Look for folders that start with ccs*.
Please provide any available logs/folder.
After you provide the logs, try ignoring the warning and continue with the install and see if this works.

These are some of the ccs folders in my temp folder.

I cannot ignore the warning. It just tells me to unzip the folder and cancels the installation.
There are a lot of ccs folders. I assume you have older CCS installations (which I assume some of which were successful).
Please provide the ccs folder with a date of the most recent failed install.

None of them are successful. They're all giving the same "zip error" message.
Please provide the ccs folder with a date of the most recent failed install.
The most recent installation failure was on 26th August, 2023 when you suggested me to try installing the on-demand installer for CCS. Can you elaborate more on this?

yes, zip the whole folder and attach to this thread.
This is the on-demand installer you requested.
Also look into the CCS main installer file also, just in case.
Thanks. I will send these to engineering.
I see you are trying to install CCS 11. Is there any particular reason why you are tying to use an older (and unsupported) CCS version?

You provided the installers themselves. This is not what we are looking for. We need a zip of the latest ccs* folder in C:\Users\<user folder>\AppData\Local\Temp that was generated from the last installation attempt.

I apologise for the misunderstanding from my side. Here is the zip file from the temp folder that you requested.

My labmates have been using this version of CCS for the C2000 based TI controllers also. And it seems to be working fine for them. Should I use a higher version of CCS?

Thank you. I have sent this to engineering for analysis.
Should I use a higher version of CCS?
We typically recommend using the current latest available. Of course there can be various reasons why people want to stick to a particular version.
Unfortunately there were no helpful logs in the zip. I may have to suggest a more crude workaround. Please start a private E2E conversation with. Provide which exact CCS version you are interested in (I assume CCS 11.0?) and which device(s) you are working with.
Thanks

How do I start a private conversation with the TI engineers on this?
Provide which exact CCS version you are interested in (I assume CCS 11.0?) and which device(s) you are working with.
I'm interested in CCS 11.0 version or higher. I'm currently working on TMS570 Hercules MCU.
