I installed ccs_5.1.0.09000_linux.tar.gz which I was downloaded from www.ti.com, and I met a question.
My Linux OS is Fedora9. CCS version is ccs5.1.0.09000. The emulator I used is SD560STMv2.
I created a new target configuration, then I saved it and close the CCS. Then I opened the ccs5.1.0.09000 again, and I found that the NewTargetConfiguration.ccxml showed "Could not open the editor: An unexpected exception was thrown.". I also received a dialog showed "Problem Occurred", it said " 'Loading device information' has encountered a problem. An internal error occurred during:"Loading device information." ".
Fedora 9 is an old distribution, therefore a required dependency may be missing and causing CCS to fail. Check the wiki page below that covers the library dependencies for the Linux version, as well as distros tested:
