cccs V4 and Graph Tool

This is CCCS V4.2.4.00033 on Win7 HP 32 bit and TI LaunchPad with Capacitative Touch Pad Booster attached. I cannot activate the Graph Pane, for example as in LaunchPad User Guide section 8.1  - it doesn't appear in Tools, whereas there's no problem with the Terminal Pane and other GUIs.........I see no problems with the setup and all Workshop Examples work out just fine. Any answers or suggestions please ?

    Mike,

    What is listed on the Tools menu?  If it is really short then I suspect that the package the graphs are part of is not installed.  I believe that can happen with the code size limited tools in v4.  You could try downloading the v5.1 image and installing it.

    Thanks, John. Well, yes, I did realise that the useful Tool(s) were not there, only the (vital) Port/Pin connects, thank goodness, RSTC Path/Platform, of course, and Trace Control. I just wondered if I'd missed something in the installation.

    I guess I placed undue faith in (TI quotes) ".....CCSv4 MSP430/C28x code size limited image........version that can be used with all MSP430 development kits......." and then wasn't sure of the implications within ".....CCSv4 DVD image.....30 day evaluation license option.....can be extended....", that is, would I be able to extend for a sufficient period to do something useful or even if such extension would indeed be applicable to V5.1 ? I'm afraid I work very slowly !

    It is possible to manage without that Graphic assessment but it's so very very tedious !

    In CCSv5.1 there is only 1 product image and it supports all license types so you won't hit the issue of missing the graphs if using the code size limited tool.  It also allows you to upgrade from the code size limited tools to the full tools without reinstalling.
