Licensing CCSv5.1 with CCSv5.0 license?

Hi all,

             I've bought TMS320C6678 EVM. CCS version came with the board was CCSv5.0.23. Since it had a number of bugs, I was forced to download CCSv5.1.

I have the CCSv5.0.23 license and I want to license CCSv5.1. How can I do that? or How can i get a license for CCSv5.1?

    HI Mohamed,

    CCSv5.1, as it is a full production release is licensed differently to the beta versions (which is what 5.0.xx was) and does not work with a v4 license.

    You have a few options

    1 - if you have a v4 license with an active subscription, you can upgrade your license to a v5 one

    2 - You can use on the free license options (for example CCSv5.1 is free to use with the XDS100 and certain mezzanine cards on certain EVMs)

    3 - you can purchase a v5 license.
