CC3v3 disassembly view: halfwords swapped -> disassembly corrupt

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138

We are using CC3v3 with an omapL138 processor ( and a wintech TDS560USB debugger). When I open a disassembly view (as well the separate window or the mixed view) the disassembled output is corrupt. If one takes a closer look, it can be seen that this happens because higher and lower halfwords of the program code are swapped. It there a setting or a workaround to remediate this?

Please refer to the attached screenshot showing the same code in the left window as displayed by the debugger and in the right window as shown in the listing file.

Thank you

Christoph

  • Christoph,

Sorry, it seems your thread slipped from the radar screen. Are you still having the reported issue?

    Regards,

    Rafael

  • Yes, it is still the same! Can you reproduce it? What can I do? (In depth debugging and optimizing is sometimes difficult without the assembly view!)

    Thanks

  • Christoph,

Sorry for the delay; I finally managed to put together a quick testcase on my old lab PC with CCSv3.3 and Windows XP.

Check the screen below (don't mind the OMAPL137 configuration; they are the same for OMAPL138). Unfortunately I can't see the same issue as you; however, I am using a XDS560 PCI emulator in CCSv3.3.82.13 and the default CGT 4.1.4 for ARM.

Endianess may be part of this issue, therefore I send attached the project exactly how I configured it. Can you try to see if you get similar problems?

    Regards,

    Rafael
