CCS4/CCS5: Free or Paid license?

hello,

I am using CC4 with purchased license and also free license. both work fine.

What is the difference between free and paid version? is the paid version better? and in what way?

    We People Mostly Used Free Version. But I Personally Recommended to all that we should always use Licence Version. In the Licence Version if any Problem occure so easily recovered and do not lost your data as well. free software sometimes works well but when it crashed it's lost all the data.

    Hello,

    the answer to your question in part depends on the hardware you use.  Basically the answer for CCv4 is

    MSP430/C2000 - the difference between the free and full version is that the free version is code size limited. 

    For other hardware that contains a free version  - these versions are hardware dependent.  For example use of the XDS100 emulator is free with CCS.  There is no limiation on these licenses aside from the hardware allowed to connect.

    By the way, there is no data loss or anything like that with the free version.
