I upgraded from 5.2.0 to 5.2.1 and now CCS cant find XDCTools... So I down loaded XDCTools and installed it, now it can see the XDCTools but tells me I have to upgrade SYSBIOS and IPC. So I upgrade thoes, then it looses XDCTools again. I install XDCTools yet again, and this time it still does not see it?
I have been fighting with this all day. What can I do?
I even tryed to resinstall 5.1 and now it cant find the XDCTools.
I have tried to uninstall everything and start from scratch but I am still having the same issues.
SYSBIOS 6.33.04.39 & 6.33.05.46
IPC 1.24.02.27 & 1.24.03.32
XDCTools 3.23.03.53 & 3.23.04.60
CCS 5.2.0.00069 & 5.2.1.00018
Hi Mike,
what OS are you using? In Linux we have seen this when for example installing as sudo but running as user or installing as user an running as sudo. You need to be consistant.
In general there have been update issues we have been working on. Another possibility is that you are in a situation where you may need to do a complete clean and a fresh installation of the full 5.2.1 installer.
Another potential .... check that you are not using the program files directory or any directory with accented or special characters or a space.
Another potential is a bug we are working on to do with incompatibility with different unzip tools.
Would you please provide the contents of your instaljammer registry directory and any further details.
Best regards,
Lisa
Windows XP (Yes we are way behind the times...)
No special characters in install path C:\TI
WinZip 12 is what we are using. I think the only thing that is zipped is the CCS stuff?
I am going to need more information on what instaljammer is and what you mean by "registry directory".
I tried to my best to do a clean install once. I will repeat tomorrow morning. It also seems the uninstall is not clean. Hard to describe, but things like uninstalling the SYSBIOS leaves the directory still there with files in it after the uninstall claims its done.
Do I have to do any rebooting inbetween? I do see that CCS needs to be restarted at times but nothing that claims XP needs to reboot.
Thanks so much for your help...
Hi,
ok, did you have antivirus turned off? The log files that would help us are the contents of the "instaljammer registry" directory-folder. You will find this under program files or under program files(x86).
Please zip and send these.
Best Regards,
Lisa
We do have McAfee running but we are not allowed to turn it off (or even able to turn it off). If you know how I would be happy to do it. The McAfee log does log issues but it says the rule is not enforced. The rule has to do with running programs from the temp folder.

Since the last message I left, I uninstalled everything in C:\TI. I reinstalled CCS 5.2.1.00018. When i go to build one of my projectes I get an error about the project being built with a different compiler. So I refactor it to use the compiler installed. Then I get the following:
configuring OS_Utils.xe9 from package/cfg/OS_Utils_pe9.cfg ...
js: "C:/TI/xdctools_3_23_03_53/packages/xdc/cfg/Main.xs", line 46: XDC runtime error: can't find the library 'lib/ti.targets.arm.rtsarm.ae9' specified by package ti.targets.arm.rtsarm. I am a little hesitent to reinstall anything else. I will wait to see what you think.
Thanks so much for your help...
I go the Library issues fixed.
I deleted all of the C:\TI stuff (uninstalled it) and then reinstalled. This time instead of just picking custom/OMAP, I did custom/OMAP,ARM9. C6000, C6x + ARM.
Now I can build the Project.
Thanks
I guess the rule should be, Dont do a custom install, and just install everything?
Thanks
Hi Mike,
normally you should not need to do a complete installation, however I am glad to hear you are up and running.
All the best with development.
Best Regards,
Lisa
