Incremental builds failing, clean builds succeeding

After doing a clean install of 5.2.1.18, incremental builds of my C6 project  (created with 5.2.0.69), always fail.  Clean builds always succeed.  The only message is:

Errors occurred during the build.
Errors running builder 'CDT Builder' on project 'MsgQDsp'.

Any ideas?

Thanks

  • Hi Elron,

when you write clean install, what exactly do you mean?  Did you do a complete fresh installation into a new directory?  Do you get any error logs generated?

How have you used the project?  Did you import it into a new workspace?  Have you tried recycling workspaces?  Have you tried deleting the .metadata?  Have you regenerated your .ccxml file?

    Please keep us informed.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • By clean install I mean I uninstalled the previous ccs install and did a complete fresh install (into an different directory).  No errors were produced.

The project is in its original workspace.

I don't know what you mean by "recycling workspaces"

Deleting the .metadata would destroy the workspace, no?

I see nothing in the .ccxml contents that should change, but I replaced it with a new one, and the problem persists.

  • Hi Elron,

could you try importing the project using Project->Import existing CCS/Eclipse project into a new workspace?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • After importing, the new project in the new workspace will not build at all:

**** Build of configuration Debug for project MsgQDsp ****

    /home/elron/ti/ccsv5/utils/bin/gmake -k MessageQApp.obj
gmake: Target `MessageQApp.obj' not remade because of errors.

    **** Build Finished ****

When I switched back to the original workspace I got the same message, so now I can't even do a clean build.

  • Hi Elron,

odd.  WOuld you be willing to send the project offline?  That way we could try some direct debugging.  Did you get an errors when importing?  Have you double checked your include paths?

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • There were no import errors. If you mean C include paths, I think that's irrelevant, since the build isn't even started, but certainly they were correct a minute ago when clean builds were working.

I'm just going to recreate the project from scratch.

  • HI Elron,

ok, if it is easy enough for you to do please just post again should you require us.

    Sorry for any inconvenience.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa
