I have seen this posted all over the place with out a good solution. I don't really want to have to go through and stop services until I find the offending one.
There has got to be a better way.
I have uninstalled and reinstall CCS Version: 5.2.1.00018 twice. Un-installed a smart phone application and still nothing.
I am really disappointed in all the issues I have found posted about this problem.
I guess you do get what you pay for in the end. I have wasted over 8 hours trying to get this thing to work.

how have you tried connecting? What do you see in the device manager? (Do you see a USB CDC device and a virtual MSP430 COM port?) How have you configured CCS? Have you tried verifying the connection with the free flash programmer from elprotronic? (www.elprotronic.com)
