Hi,
See Lisa's answer here: http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/244303.aspx
To create a target configuration file see this other thread: http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/p/208002/736979.aspx
Hope this helps.
Regards
Thanks Johannes for the reply.
I have done both of the instructions you have given to me but after the debug the facedetect program preloaded with LCDKC6748 DSP Dev kit that is saved in the NAND Flash was not erased. The program that I am debugging using the TI XDS100v2 JTAG Emulator is not loaded to the NAND Flash. I debugged the program setting the DIP Switches to 011100000 enabling NAND Boot. What would be the source of this problem? I have already tried the instruction given in the wiki site and from Lisa but still it didn't work.
Thanks again.
CCS itself is not able to write to the NAND Flash on this board. It can do this for devices with internal flash but not external flash. To program the NAND flash there is likely a program that you load and then enter the path to your program to load via the console (this is what I have seen with other boards). Since this thread already has a bunch of replies if I move it to the C6000 single core forum it will likely get missed. Thus I would suggest starting a new thread there with a title something like "Program NAND Flash on C6748 LCDK"
However before you do that I found a guide for the board on the wiki here: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/L138/C6748_Development_Kit_(LCDK) It implies that the utility programs to do this come with the BIOS C6 Development Kit:
The BIOS software development kit provides excellent user experience for running demos in ten minutes and to start development in one hour. The kit highlights two demos that use the latest TI software tools, one for finger printing and the other for face detection. These demos show how to use both the Makefile and CCS based build environments. The SDK contains the latest version of SysBIOS 6.3.33 and Starterware. This does include OS code for peripheral access and DSP libraries. The code is built with Code Gen Tools 7.3.1 which comes with CCSv5.1. The SDK has optimized DSP libraries as well as an image library and Math library for C674x DSP core. The C6 DSP benchmarks use these libraries and other DSP features like cache and memory transfers to help customers get benchmarking results. The SDK also has a network development kit for enabling TCP/IP stacks on the Ethernet on the DSP. Memory transfers are enabled using the EDMA LLD library. Serial and CCS based flash utilities are provided to flash the memory. The development environment is with CCSv5 based projects and Makefiles.
