TL;DR: Will this work?
Longer version: Running Code Composer 5.2 in Ubuntu 11.10. Trying to program an eZ430-RF256X development kit. I ran the driver installation script that came with Code Composer, and I've installed the appropriate udev rules. I get "MSP430: Error initializing emulator: No USB FET was found" whenever I try to debug a blinking LED program. Any suggestions or ideas?
EDIT: I guess as of April 2012, USB-FET was not supported in Linux, only the USB-UIF device is supported. Any updates since then?
Hi James,
unfortunately the mps430 launchpad and eZ sticks are not yet supported under linux.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi James,
I agree and myself am fully behind supporting these in Linux. I do believe support is coming, however if you would like an official statement I would post to the msp430 forum.
Best Regards,
Lisa
