C64x algorithm simulation

Hi, I would like to simulate an application running entirely from external DDR2.

In the real HW environment the DDR2 setup if performed by a bootloader.

However SIMULATION does not depend on a bootloader.

The question is how and where to set the parameters for the external DDR2 before running code from this same DDR2 in SIMULATION.

Hi Todor,

There should be a GEL file available for C64x to configure DDR2 and the linker command file should be updated accordingly.

Before any program or data may be loaded into the external DDR memory, the DDR memory interface must be initialized. When using CCSv5.3 and the emulator like XDS510 USB, this initialization is usually done by executing a GEL file that will automatically initialize the DDR interface when the Target Connect command is issued.
