TMS320F2812 is not connecting through the parallel port

Hi,

The project requires TI CCS v5.3(5.3.0.00090) and TMS320F2812 target.

When I tried to connect to the target using parallel port(Printer port) cable, it isnt working and gave the following erro(in picture below). Is this a known issue? If yes please let me know the way forward.

Complete Feature set of CCSv5.3 is installed(which comes with the bundle)

OS used : Win 7

    Did you try running the Spectrum Digital diagnostic tests in the SDConfigEx utility?

    Hello Ki,

    The problem looks like its with the Windows 7. When the same PC has Winxp + CCS5.3, it connects to target. But when it has Win7 + CCS5.3 it doesnt. Also, when a printer is connected to that pc, the parallel port is working.

    Do you have any solution for this?

    The OS version is Win7 Professional SP1.

    Parallel port emulation should still work with Windows 7. What happens when you run the diagnostic tests from the SDConfigEx utility?
