I installed BIOS PSP for SYS-BIOS (BIOS PSP 03.00.01.00). Now, everytime I start CCS the following prompt comes up.
This prompt keep coming everytime CCS start. Looks like, new product discovery scheme doesn't work. The problem is happening to my collegue.
Please help,
Jayesh
Jayesh,
I can't reproduce this issue in my PC (I am using CCSv5.5). However, this component was created for CCSv5.1 and it warns you on the product discovery tool.
I also checked the newer PSP release (here) but it also shows a similar warning in the product discovery. Although that does not seem to be a problem.
Therefore I wonder if the product was correctly added. Can you verify this under menu Window --> Preferences --> Code Composer Studio --> RTSC --> Products? You should see something like this:
You could potentially try to remove the package and see if it gets properly installed a second time.
I even tested this in a PC where the user did not have admin privileges, but everything worked out just fine.
Hope this helps,
Rafael
I am seeing almost the same problem using MCSDK version 3_00_03_15: (http://software-dl.ti.com/sdoemb/sdoemb_public_sw/mcsdk/latest/index_FDS.html)
The following are the products that get discovered in an infinite loop:
ctoolslib_1_0_2_0
dsplib_c66x_3_2_0_1
edma3_lld_02_11_10_09
imglib_c66x_3_1_1_0
mathlib_c66x_3_1_0_0
mcsdk_bios_3_00_03_15
pdk_keystone2_3_00_03_15
salld_keystone2_02_00_02_00
syslib_3_00_00_04
These all have the "earlier version" warning in the New Products Discovered dialog.
I tried removing them as instructed and verified that they were gone. Then I let be discovered and installed.
They all warned me of unsigned content this time (something i don't think I had seen before), but let me install them anyway. That warning only occurred the first time after removing them. Every other time I don't get the warning and the "installation" is much faster.
The version of the MCSDK I am using appears to be the latest and I used everything from there, which I assume means that they are a matched set. So I'm not sure what the version warning is about or what to do about it.
Note that there are other components that added just fine and do not generate this infinite install loop.
Questions: Do I need to fix this? What happens if I don't. If i need to fix it, how do i go about it?
Thanks,
Lance
