Code Composer Studio Version starting with 5.4 to 6.0 on Windows XP either crash or won't install

When trying to Install Code Composer Studio Versions 5.4 into a Windows XP machine I encounter

many problems. Version 5.4 crash with an win32 exception and tries to call Visual C debugger.

Version 6.0 hangs during installation.

Please note I don't seem to have any of these problems when install in a Linux machine.

The Linux Machine is the same hardware that Windows XP is run on.

    Disable your anti-virus and firewall in your system and recheck.

    Hi Richard,

    For the 6.0 installation that's hanging, could you please post the install logs from <installdir>/ccsv6/install_logs* ? Zip you all the install_log folders there and I'll take a look and let you know what's going on.
