I'm unable to connect CCSv5 to my BeagleBone Black Rev C board in Windows 8.1. When I test the connection, I get the following output.
Hi Jeremy,
Note the there is no on-board XDS100 emulation on the BeagleBone Black like there is with standard BeagleBone. Did you manually solder a JTAG header to the board and then purchase an external XDS100v2?
Thanks
ki
Hi Ki-Soo,
Thank you for your reply. No, I did not do this. Is there another way to program the BeagleBone Black Rev C through CCS without having to do this?
Thanks for your assistance!

I suggest posting in the Sitara device forums. The folks there can help you best since this forum concentrates on CCS support.
Good luck

Sorry, I didn't quite read your response correctly. No, you need JTAG support for low level target access via CCS.
Thanks

Oh, okay, thank you. This is critical information. Are you aware of any tutorials for implementing JTAG support on the BBB?
Thank you again for your help. It is greatly appreciated.

Actually all you need to do is described in the link I sent earlier:
http://elinux.org/Beagleboard:BeagleBoneBlack#Optional_JTAG
To install the JTAG header, all you have to do is install P2 on the back of the board.
P2 is a Samtec FTR-110-03-G-D-06 connector and can be purchased from Samtec or any of their distributors.
