Code composer issue while using "Hardware Trace Analyzer"

HI,

I am using CCS ver5.4 and ported a algorithm in DSP C74x of DM8148. I wanted to check the time taken by different functions, for which I was using "Hardware Trace Analyzer" . But I am always getting the warning "Clock Frequency not available. cannot provide Time in seconds".

I have gone through this link "http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/274241" which suggests using "XDSPROTRACE". Can you please suggest me how to select the "XDSPROTRACE"?

    Debasish,

    Unfortunately the device you have only supports ETB trace, which does not have timestamps tied to it. The use of a XDSPROTRACE will not give you any extra advantage.
