Continuous access of variables during during debugging using XDS100 V3 for CCS 5.2

I am using ccs 5.2 and XDS100Ve emulator for DSP 320f28335. During debugging I want to continuously monitor the variables but when I debug I can not access the variables due to error "Execution state prevented access". Then I checked the "Halt the target before any debugger access", I can access the variables but this interrupts the continuous operation of DSP. Please suggest some solution so that I may be able to continuously monitor and modify variables during debugging session with out halting the CPU

Hi Shahid,

While in debug mode all you've to do is highlight the variable in code window -> right click on it and click on Add Watch Expression

and you can monitor the real time update here:

Also, don't forget to activate the Continuous Refresh mode.

Actually I used it before and everything was fine with continuous refresh. but I reinstalled my window and installed ccs again. Now I cant access like this. If I dont check the "Halt the target before any debugger access" I can not access variable
But if I chek the above option, when I modify any variable CPU halts operation for a whil

Can you update your CCS to either CCS v5.5 or CCSv6.1? These are most stable versions.
