Upon communication with Customer Support I was provided with the list of validation suites used to test conformity of TI Compiler to C89 and other language standards. So I would think that their test results are used to create bug reports.
In E2E community it was said that TI Compiler does not completely comply with C89 (http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/compiler/f/343/t/40848.aspx) - I have self checked this and I agree that this behavior violates C89 standard. I looked into Defect History of Code Generation Tools and into Release Notes of Code Composer. None of both contain any information about this problem. I understand that this is minor problem, but I would expect that this problem must be reported somewhere since it's violation of supported standard (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TI_Compilers_and_Industry_Standards) and should be detected at least by some of used test suites. Does another bug list exist where such bugs are mentioned? Is this problem considered as a bug anyway?
