Can't Kill ccstudio.exe Process After Crash

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO, CC3200

I'm on a Windows 7 x64 machine running CCS Version: 6.1.0.00104.

Every time CCS crashes, it refuses die in the process tree (ccstudio.exe). This wouldn't be too much of an issue but when I re-open it, it still thinks I'm using the workspace I was using. I have to switch workspaces every time which doesn't have the code I was previously working on. I'm aware of the .lock file (https://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/217669)  but I can't delete it because ccstudio.exe won't die.

Is this a bug or can something be done?
