Opening COM port failed CC2650 on CCS Cloud for mac OSX 10.7

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650

Total newb as far as any of this stuff goes. Trying to use the sensortag cc2650 for a research project so im immersing myself into this stuff for the first time.

Trying to connect my SensorTag and devpack using the CCS cloud app, using a mac OSX 10.7. installed the appropriate extensions and cloud agent. Tried with chrome and with safari, same result with both browsers.

performing "TARGET--> Connect COM port" .

Dialogue opens up, installing target support, installing package: DSLite

then I get the following message :

been stuck here for a while.. any ideas on how to get past this? Thank you!

  • Hi,

Are you trying to load code to your target or simply communicate via its serial port?

To load code to your target you must use either the button Run or Debug, then the sequence you describe above should show up.

If you are simply trying to communicate to the target via the serial port, when you select the Target --> COM Port, do you see a list with drop-down ports and Baud Rates?

(edit) it seems some sensortags have an issue with the serial port. Check this thread.

That said, I know that CCS Cloud is fully tested on Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9) and Yosemite (10.10), but not Lion (10.7). That may be one of the reasons this is failing.

For a complete description on the supported platforms and targets, check the FAQ tab of the TI Cloud tools page.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael
