TI CCSv6 PRU C complier install question.

I thought I had installed the C/C++ PRU compiler via the App center. However when I start to create a project under a Beaglebone black target, select the PRU tab, there is no compiler displayed. The compilers are displayed for the Cortex tabs.

I installed the C/C++ compiler as root. When I look at the App center it is reporting that the compiler is up to date. I have tried a search in the sdk I have installed, and in the ti folder for the binary but it can't find it.

Am I missing a path somewhere ? Does anyone know where the compiler should be installed so I can link it manually ?

Hi Paul,

if you check the list of installed compilers in the workspace preferences (Window ->Preferences), do you see an entry for the PRU compiler?

Paul,

Were you able to get past this issue, (ie) were you able to install the PRU compiler successfully?

Could you let us know which host OS you are working with?

Hello, sorry should have got back to people. It was stupid, I had not installed the latest version of the PRU complier. Once I did it was fine, it was Linux 16.04. Thanks for everyone's reply.

Thanks for the update! So you were able to install the PRU compiler from CCS App Center without any issues, correct?
