DebugServer 32 - 64 bits version (Code Composer Studio 6.1.3)

Hi,

I am trying to use the DebugServer via java scripts called from Matlab.

It works when I am using Matlab in 32 bits.

When I am using Matlab in 64 bits I have the following message:

Error using CCS_interface (line 48)
Java exception occurred:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\DebugServer\bin\LibraryLoader.dll: Can't load IA
32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform

at java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(Native Method)

Matlab support answered:

"I understand that you are getting an error "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\DebugServer\bin\LibraryLoader.dll: Can't load IA
32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform " on trying to call java script that internally uses DebugServer dll from 64bit MATLAB.

This is because "LibraryLoader" is a 32 bit dll. Please note that you cannot load 32 bit dll in 64 bit MATLAB.
Using 64 bit version of this dll in 64 bit MATLAB should resolve the issue."

Does Texas provide the dll required for the DebugServer in 64 bits ?

Currently, there is no 64-bit version. It is only 32-bit. The upcoming CCSV6.2.0 release will support 64-bit only on Linux. The Windows version will only be 32-bit.

Thanks Ki for the information. As Matlab provides 32 and 64 bits version it is OK. Hope that they will deliver always the 2 versions. Do you know why TI does not plan to move to a 64 bit version on windows?

It is mostly resources and demand. 32-bit CCS works well out-of-the-box on both Windows 32-bit and 64-bit. Many people are satisfied. 32-bit CCS on Linux 64-bit environments cause many headaches, with the user having to install various 32-bit libraries to get CCS to work.

Just to note that CCS 64-bit on Windows is still something that we would like to do. It is just not on any immediate roadmap right now.

I had the same problem.
I setup 32bit version of the program into 64 bit system. It works.
