cannot load from non-primitive location

I have been using TMS320VC5510A in one of my projects.In my board Mirocontroller is the master and it writes to the variables in the  memory of above said DSP.

While Debugging in CCS6 ,I have been getting the error as "cannot load from non-primitive location" for all those variables which are written by the Microcontroller.

The code for the project was written in CCS3.3 and now I am debugging in CCS6.

Kindly help me.
