Compiler: Can't update TI ARM Compiler v5.2.6

While trying to update compiler installation in Code composure studio following error is encountered:

An error occurred while installing the items
session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Install, operand=null --> [R]com.ti.cgt.tms470.5.2.win32_root 5.2.6, action=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.touchpoint.natives.actions.ChmodAction).
The action chmod failed - file c:\ti\ccsv6\eclipse\downloads\ccs_update_5.5.0.00092.exe does not exist

Checked manually for the file and it does not exists.

Anand,

Which version of CCS are you using? And from which menu are you trying to perform the compiler update?

I am using Code Composer Studio Version: 6.2.0.00050

And updating from Code Composure Help -> Install New Software

ARM Compiler Tools 5.2.6

Clicks goes further and installation begins then

In between error comes

As per this related post, could you please check that you do not have any anti-virus running, and that you are running CCS as administrator?

Anand mentioned that CCS 6.2.0.00050 is in use, yet the error from the installation "file c:\ti\ccsv6\eclipse\downloads\ccs_update_5.5.0.00092.exe does not exist". It sounds like the problem is for some reason when attempting to install TI ARM compiler v5.2.6 into CCS 6.2.0.00050 that the non-existant install program for CCS 5.5.0.00092 is attempted to be run.

I can't repeat the problem, in that was able to install TI ARM compiler v5.2.6 into CCS 6.2.0.00050, the the install program ccs_update_6.2.0.00050.exe was used.

How is the CCS install program for a compiler update determined?

I have stopped antivirus and tried several times but the installation exits with same error.

searched for .exe file specified and it does not exists in any directory either.

It is required for working with cc2650 based bluetooth software development.

But this is hampering work. Kindly suggest some solution.

For testing data transmission Using :

TeraTerm (PC) <--> CC2650 Launcp Pad <--> BLE Scanner or TI's SimpleLink AndroidApp

Do I need to upgrade the firmware of lanchPad ver 1.2? If yes then where I will get the latest one?

I can not find at specified location dev.ti.com/launchxl-cc2650 specified in quick start guide.

The launchPad get detected on BLE scanner on my mobile but can't do anything beyond.

Please suggest.
