CCS/66AK2E05: XDS560v2 debugger is not detected in Windows XP,7,8,10

Hello Sir,

We are trying to connect the Spectrum Digital XDS560v2 debugger with our PC having CCSv6.2 installed. 

But everytime, USB connection for debuuger ends with "Device Descriptors are not found". We have tried the to download drivers online but nothing works. 

I have tried to connect XDS560v2 debugger with Windows xp, 7, 8 and 10. but always same issue. 

Will anyone tell that why it is happening and how we can resolve this issue?

    Tarang,

    I haven't seen this error message before, but what exactly does Control Panel show? Can you attach a screenshot?

    Also, you can try to reinstall the drivers by pointing to the Spectrum Digital install directory shown below and running DPInst.exe with admin privileges.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\SpectrumDigital\Emulation\Drivers\amd64

    Another two possible causes for malfunctioning drivers can be either Antivirus/Firewall software causing interference with the device driver instantiation or your system is installed in a Virtual Machine.

    I tried this  -

    but this is also not helping.

    Thanks for sending the screenshot. The error "Device Descriptor Request Failed" seems to be very common around on the Internet, but given that you tested the same Debug Probe in several OSes I can rule out any problems with the OS itself - unless all installs have in common the other reasons I mentioned in my previous post (Antivirus, VM).

    If you are not using that, there is a chance the USB interface of your Debug Probe is simply broken. If your model has an Ethernet interface such as the one below, I would try to use that (I have an identical one that will only connect via Ethernet).

    Instructions to configure this probe are provided in the document <xds560v2_techref.pdf> located at:

    C:\ti\ccsv7\ccs_base\emulation\specdig\docs\pdf

    If this interface does not work, I would contact the distributor you bought the probe and return or repair it.

    Hello Rafael, 

    As this debugger is working on Linux environment so, i believe there is no issue with debugger and USB cable. 

    Ethernet interface is also not working with windows.

    We have tried Spectrum digital XDS510 debugger. This debugger is working with windows but with XDS560v2, it always shows "Device Descriptor Request Failed". 

    can you please provide the device drivers for XDS560v2 for windows 7,8 and 10.

    rang,

    As I mentioned before, It seems that something is preventing the XDS560v2 device drivers from being properly instantiated in your copy of Windows. That leads me to believe that something in common with your Windows installs are preventing proper operation. Can you think of anything in common that may be causing this?

    The device drivers are installed with CCS in the location I mentioned above.

    Apart from trying to inspect any errors when the connection is performed in your system, I really don't have many more ideas on what may be happening in your case.
