Hello TI,

I am doing development using AM57xx EVM board. For this I need to use CCS6. I am working on Ubuntu14.0 version. While installing CCS6 on Ubuntu (web installer and offline installer), I got this error message:

There has been an error.
Program output: Can't find display, can't proceed
Program error: child process exited abnormally

I didn't understand it well. Please help to resolve it.

Ash,

It will be much easier for us to support you on the latest version. Would you be able to try CCSv7.2?

It does require a 64-bit Linux distro though. Is that why you are using CCSv6?

I think that message means the installer can't find an X display for the installer GUI. If you can't set a display you may need to install in unattended mode - see https://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/578577
