CCS/CCSTUDIO: CCSv7 Enable parallel build via cmd args something like set "use parallel jobs" via command line

CCSv7 has an option to select the number to be used for job build using GUI as shown in screenshot below. I am interested in knowing if it is possible to do same via command line arguments? I have tried "--ccs.args -j..." following the link http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Projects_-_Command_Line_Build/Create#com.ti.ccstudio.apps.projectBuild but it didn't give the desired effect. Kindly help.

Hi Ki,

Just want to confirm that, will it make any different to .out files if we turn on parallel build? We now want to turn on this function.

Sam - typically, no. However there were some rare cases where parallel builds have caused build errors in the past due to some dependencies not being met during a parallel builds. In these cases, a more typical sequential order resolved the issue.
