Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
Hi all, I just started using a DSP kit. I have installed CCS v6.2.0. It doesn't show a C6000 compiler. So i used <CCS App Center > to install code generation tool <ti-cgt-c6000_8.1.1>. Installation was successful. Still when i started the new project < select target> target given as <generic C64x+ Device>, it shows a message C6000 compiler not installed. When i checked the cgt installation folder all the files are present. Please help me out of this situation. Thank you.
Sanju,
When creating a new project is TMS320C6416 not listed? You will want to select a specific device instead of "Generic C64x+".
You will also want to use the 7.4 compiler for this device and not the 8.x compiler. CCS should select the 7.4 compiler automatically when you select C6416 as your device.
If you do not have the ability to select C6416 in the wizard then I suspect that the necessary device support was not installed. You can add support by running the installer again and pointing it to your existing installation You would need to then select the appropriate family. I believe that is C6000 Single Core in CCSv6.2.

John
