Hello.

I have got a project made for tms320dm642 in ccs3.0 or ccs3.1. I do not use the dsk board for dm642 we have our own board created by our company.

I need to open the project, recompile it and load the out-file back into tms320dm642.

I have got ccs3.3. I managed to open the project and recompile it, so the out-file is created. But when I'm trying to load it into the dsp dm642- the IDE tells me about the mistmatch of the target type (picture 1).

On my dsp I tried to use EVMDM642.gel file and DSP64xxplus.gel file (picture 2) - but I have got the same result.

I know that my project was created in ccs 3.0 or ccs3.1 and the result out-file I can load into the dm642 processor using my ccs3.3, but I can't make good recompiled out-file, that can be loaded into the dm642 proceccor.

Please tell me what can be the reason of the problem, and how can I solve it? May be I need the earlier version ccs 3.0 or 3.1? So where I can download it - to have the oppotunity to create a suitable good out-file that can be loaded into my dsp dm642?

    Hello,

    You likely do not want to the EVMDM642.gel file if you are using a custom board. That gel file is specific to the DM642 EVM board. 

    As for the error, there must be some differences between the build options used to compile on 3.1 and 3.3 since 3.1 compiled executables load fine on your board using 3.3. Do you have access to 3.1? I'd like to see the build options used to compile on both versions

    Hello.

    I have no ccs3.1. I have only the project made in ccs3.1 for our processor dm642. I open the project in my ccs3.3. CCS3.3 opens the proect, compiles it, make out-file but the out-file I can't load it into dm642.

    So I have only build options for the project, opened in ccs3.3. Here you are (look "build files.docx").

    How can I make the suitable out-file that I can load into dm642?

    Nothing stands out in your build options. Would it be possible to provide both the out file from 3.1 that works and the one from 3.3 that does not? If you wish to send it to me privately, please start a private conversation with me.

    Hello.
    Thank you. I managed to transform our project under ccs3.3 and now it works successfully on our dsp dm642. But we still have problem with Ethernet. Our old project that was written under ccs3.0 successfully worked with the Ethernet interface and our dm642 have sent and recieved packets via tcp and udp protocols. But now our new project doesn't work correctly with Ethernet port. Please tell me what can I do to make my project work correctly with Ethernet the same way as the first project did? What have been changed since ccs3.0 and ccs3.3? I'm using ccs3.3, bios 5.31.02, ndk 2.0.0.0. Can you give me the installation packet of version ccs3.0 with the packet of ndk used at that time?

    Thank you for the update. I am glad to hear that you have successfully migrated the project to 3.3
