CCS/MSP-EXP430FR2433: Cannot switch into EnergyTrace++ mode. Stuck with plain EnergyTrace.

Hello.

I have this same problem as this: https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/t/603910

But that proposed solution does not seem to work for me.

I upload some code to the board, press debug, and when the uploading is done and debugger is waiting to start running the code, I try to use EnergyTrace++.

The button is greyed out in the UI and also in the advanced menu. Please see the attached pictures to see this.

Hi,

According to the EnergyTrace page, the EnergyTrace++ is only supported in FR59/69 devices. Sorry.

In that case, can you clarify why the page for my dev board claims EnergyTrace++ support?

Hi,

I just talked to the MSP apps team and they confirmed the Launchpad product page has a typo - unfortunately the FR2433 does not support EnergyTrace++. Sorry.

I will notify the responsible folks about the page to get this corrected.
