Versions (CCS, DSP/BIOS, CGT, XDC)

Hello!

I'm currently using CCS 3.3 (3.3.82.13 to be more precise), DSP/BIOS 5.41.07.24, CGT 6.1.13 and XDC-Tools 3.15.03.67.

My current target is a C6713 (Silicon Rev. 01.03.00). (Some other projects uses F28xx.)

Is this a valid (stable) combination of Tools?

I've tried to find out about the versions in the according release notes, but (especially for the XDC-Tools) often there is only information for CCS 4.0.

I'm not planning to switch to CCS 4.0 in the next future.

Are there any suggestion which tools I should use? (Newest is not always most stable)

Is DSP/BIOS 6.x and CGT 7.x still compatible with CCS 3.3?

Best regads,

Thomas

Yes, this combination should be fine.

Be aware that CCS 3.3 is no longer supported. Eventually new releases of the tools will not be supported on v3.3 so it really is recommend to upgrade when you can.

It really depends on what functionality you need. You should ask questions on BIOS and CGT in their respective forums for more details.

Yes... for now. There are version of BIOS 6.x and CGT 7.x that will work with 3.3. But as I mentioned before, we no longer support 3.3 and future releases of these tools will not support 3.3 (probably the latest versions do not already).
